As Sheffield gets ready to grab Christmas by the baubles, shops in the city centre are extending their opening hours on Thursdays for the city’s late night shopping evening.
From phone shops to book shops, fashion to food, Thursdays are made for exploring Sheffield after 5pm, with many bars and restaurants also offering special food and drink offers to shoppers who decide to hang about and enjoy their evening in the city centre.
It’s not just the shops, bars and restaurants either, Sheffield Christmas Market is open till 8pm on Thursdays, to give those busy in the daytime a chance to get their festive fix. With Sleigh Bar (open until 11pm) serving up mulled wine and other festive tipples for the adults, and a Santa’s Grotto for the kids (open until 6pm), there’s fun to be had for all after 5pm at Sheffield Christmas Market.
So you can spend your cash on presents, not parking, this year, there are special offers available to shoppers in both Sheffield City Council and privately run car parks in the run up to Christmas. Ranging from money off if you book online to parking for just £1 after 4:30pm, with parking offers so good you can fill your boot with goodies without having to worry about watching the clock.
It’s not just drivers that can grab a great deal on transport this Christmas, thanks to festive bus offers announced by Sheffield City Council. Plus One means anyone with a day, week or month ticket can bring along another person for free on journeys in Sheffield into the city centre after 4.30pm and out of the city centre after 6.30pm on Thursdays in December.
