From screen to Sheffield: Nativity! The Musical at the Lyceum

Expect sparkle, shine, hilarious children and a canine cast member when the new production of Nativity! The Musical comes to Sheffield’s Lyceum Theatre from Wednesday 22 to Sunday 26 November.

Inspired by the hit film starring Martin Freeman and Ashley Jensen, Nativity! The Musical follows Christmas at St Bernadette’s school. Teacher Mr Maddens and his crazy assistant Mr Poppy have decided to take on a musical version of the Nativity, but there’s one problem – Mr Maddens has promised that a Hollywood producer is coming to see the show to turn it into a film. Featuring favourite songs from the smash-hit films, including: Sparkle and Shine, Nazareth, She’s the Brightest Star and One Night, One Moment, Nativity! the Musical is the perfect feel-good comedy for all the family.

Starring Daniel Boys (Avenue Q, Spamalot) as Paul Maddens, Sarah Earnshaw (Wicked, Spamalot) as Jennifer Lore and Simon Lipkin (Rock of Ages and The Lorax) as Mr Poppy, the cast of Nativity! the Musical is completed by almost 30 children and Pepper as Crackers the dog.

Nativity! the Musical comes to the Lyceum Theatre from Wednesday 22 November – Sunday 26 November. Tickets can be purchased from Sheffield Theatres’ Box Office in-person, by phone on 0114 249 6000 or online at sheffieldtheatres.co.uk.
