See you on Exchange Street for a free street party celebrating Castlegate's diverse culture

On Friday 8 June, The Castlegate Escape lands on Exchange Street for a balmy summer evening of food, music and culture.

The free community street party from the Exchange Street Collective, a community of creative organisations based in the Exchange Street area of Sheffield, will celebrate the diverse culture of Castlegate and its surrounding areas.

It's teamed up with Sheffield City Council, Bal Fashions, Plot 22, Delicious Clam and CADS for an afternoon/evening of street party celebrations.

From 4pm until 10pm, catch live art, music, talks, spoken word and DJ sets from Sheffield’s best, including young artist Otis Mensah. Click here to stay tuned on the growing line-up for the event.

As well as an already promising line-up of artists including Andy H and Nice Like Rice, you’ll also find Rite Trax and SADACCA (Sheffield and District African Caribbean Community Association) showcasing a multitude of talents on the day.

Advertised as an event “for all ages and inclinations”, there will no doubt be something for everyone to enjoy. You’ll also find a handful of independent retail stalls beside various local and independent food vendors.
