23 December – Sheffield Theatres
We may only be a couple of days away from Christmas Day but that doesn’t mean there isn’t still time to enjoy a festive show at Sheffield Theatres. Both the Crucible’s Wizard of Oz and the Lyceum’s pantomime Wizard of Oz will be showing between Christmas and New Year and into January.
Either head to the Crucible for a glorious technicolor production of the timeless classic, The Wizard of Oz. Skip along the yellow brick road and journey through munchkin land all the way to Oz, carried along by all your favourite tunes, including Over the Rainbow and We’re Off to See the Wizard.
Or head to the Lyceum, for Mother Goose starring Sheffield’s panto legend Damian Williams, Cbeebies’ Andy Day and Benidorm’s Jake Canuso. Expect audience participation, joke and songs a plenty in this traditional Christmas pantomime.
The Wizard of Oz will run at the Crucible theatre until 20 January and Mother Goose will be at the Lyceum until 7 January. Get tickets on the Sheffield Theatres website.
